Summary: Genital prolapse classification in extremely subjective and lacks the fundamental characteristics to lake homogeneous studies possible. Baden and Walkers have divided the vaginal canal and perineal site into 6 segments. The severity of prolapse is classified in four stages following the “Half Way System”. A detailed study of urinary incontinence if associated is obviously necessary to obtain a resonable choice for every patient, being the premise to adequate corrective surgery.
