Summary: Two hundred fourteen patients were treated with radical hysterectomy and pelvic limphadenectomy at Gynecologic Oncologic Section of the University of Milan between January 1975 and December 1989. One hundred forty eight patients received postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy. Early postoperative ureteral fistula was observed in 5 cases (2.3%) versus 2 vesical fistula (0.9%). One other case of urinary fistula (0.4%) occurred in late postoperative period.
