Summary: Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix is a rare and aggressive tumor associated with an extremely poor prgnosis. Even in patients with early stage neoplasia ( FIGO I or II), systemic metastases are common, and a cause of death. Flow cytometry demonstrates the aggressive nature of this tumor. A patient with advanced neuroendocrine carcinoma was treated with total abdominal hysterectomy and bileteral salpingo-oophorectomy. Adjuvant chemotherapy with cisplatin + Ifosfamide was employed; then we used carboplatin, and later bleomycin + methotrexate + cisplatin. The patient died 20 months after the diagnosis
