189. Study of Tension-Free Vaginal Tape (TVT) for Surgical Treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence: Results of Two Year Follow Up

Summary: Forty-four patients suffering from genuine stress incontinence were submitted to TVT procedure. They were followed for 2 years. Forty-two (95.5%) were cured and 2 (4.5%) were significantly improved.
About 90% of patients were released from the hospital within 24 hours without postoperative catheterization. No defect healing and no tape rejection occurred. One uncomplicated hematoma and 3 uncomplicated bladder perforation occurred.
